About Us
We are a collaborative team of researchers from Istanbul Technical University, S.B.U. Antalya Training and Research Hospital, and Isık University, dedicated to using artificial intelligence (AI) to improve the early diagnosis of Alzheimer’s Disease (AD) and Mild Cognitive Impairment (MCI). Our project combines expertise in AI, neurology, and biomedical imaging to explore new ways of identifying biomarkers through non-invasive imaging techniques such as Optical Coherence Tomography (OCT) and Optical Coherence Tomography Angiography (OCTA).
We are developing AI models to analyze OCT and OCTA scans for the early detection of AD and MCI, aiming to identify subtle patterns that might be missed with traditional methods.
We are researching new biomarkers to improve diagnostic accuracy, potentially offering more reliable indicators for early-stage neurodegenerative diseases.
Our team collaborates closely with clinical experts, neurologists, and AI specialists to ensure practical and effective solutions for healthcare.
By using OCT and OCTA, we leverage non-invasive and accessible imaging techniques that are widely used in ophthalmology, making them ideal for our research.
We are creating a comprehensive dataset of anonymized OCT and OCTA scans to uncover patterns linked to AD and MCI, enhancing our understanding of these conditions.
Our goal is to make significant contributions to the early diagnosis of these conditions, ultimately improving patient care and advancing research in neurodegenerative diseases.
This project was supported by Scientific and Technological Research Council of Turkey (TUBITAK) under the Grant Number 122E509. We thank to TUBITAK for their support.
